DroneShield helps corrections protect against the use of UAS for contraband smuggling
Prisons and correctional facilities face challenges from smugglers using UAS to deliver drugs, weapons, cell phones, and other contraband onto facility grounds. As a result, UAS detection and disruption is critical to maintaining the highest standard of security. Prisons integrate DroneShield technology their zone-based alarm systems to achieve consistent, complete monitoring of their perimeters, airspace, and centralized facilities. Its alerts give advanced warning of UAS activity and can be configured to automatically disrupt UAS that enter a specified perimeter.
DroneShield systems use Sensor Fusion to combine multiple sensors, including Radio Frequency, Radar, and Optical Verification to provide complete awareness over sites. Fixed DroneSentry systems provide up to 8km range for early detection of UAS threats beyond the perimeter. Optional portable or fixed countermeasures enable complete control over detected threats, rapidly mitigating UAS at up to 2km. DroneShield fixed systems interface to the DroneSentry-C2 software, which can be integrated into existing security systems through RESTful API.
How Can C-UxS Help Corrections?
Detection
DroneShield’s sensors have world-leading drone detection and tracking range performance
Detect and track multiple drones simultaneously
GNSS-navigated/silent drones can be picked up via their downlinks (sending telemetry/location and video feeds back to the pilot)
RfOne offers superior performance compared to standadr radars:
Significantly fewer false alarms, boasting better detection and tracking
Continues to hold track when drone hovers
DroneShield software utilizes Artificial Intelligence engines to accurately detect, ID, and track targets
Site Protection
Contributes to more comprehensive surveillance through monitoring of air space as well as ground perimeters
Early Awareness
Advanced warnings of commercial or unknown UAS used by smugglers and other unauthorized users
Alerts security systems to type, location, and direction of detections, preserving data from the alert
Indicates location of drone pilot
Data & Evidence Collection
Preserves data from alerts for use as digital evidence in legal proceedings and analysis
DroneShield’s propriety DroneOptID software records footage of intruding drones to use as evidence
Intuitive and feature rich alerting, tracking, and reporting
Mitigation
Disrupt incoming UAS, forcing them to lower to the ground or return to operator, allowing for law enforcement intervention
Automatic zone defeat or manually disrupt threats
