C-UAS Key Considerations

What Is C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System)?

C-UAS or Counter-UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) is a term that includes the detection, tracking and disruption of unmanned aerial systems.
Different UAS types can include Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs). It is important to consider both the aircraft/vehicle and the controller/control station.

A Multi-Sensor C-UAS Approach:
Enhanced Detection & Defeat

Given the large range of drones that exist in a commercial market, a multi-sensor approach enhances detection reliability and efficiency.

DroneShield systems use multiple advanced sensors and systems which detect and defeat UAS (drones). Some of these sensors include the following technology:

a line graph with an orange wave coming out of it

Radio Frequency

a white circle with orange circles around it

Radar

an orange and white icon of an eye

Electro Optics &
Computer Vision

Smart Disruption

How Can C-UAS Help?

While the beneficial applications for drone use increases, this growth equally increases the opportunities for bad actors to leverage these capabilities for nefarious purposes.
In less than a decade, the need for Counter-UAS capabilities has expanded to essentially every industry. Easily available, small and inexpensive drones can easily bypass traditional Defence and security measures. Any drone that flies in an unauthorized airspace can endanger the public.

Military, law enforcement and prisons might be obvious markets for C-UAS, however increased activity and threats have demonstrated the vulnerability that airports, critical infrastructure, and large public venues worldwide now face as well.

DroneShield offers a variety of anti-drone and C-UAS solutions to detect, track and eliminate threats across a wide range of sectors.
