CompassOne

Real-time MIL-SPEC Location and Direction Sensing for Deployed Assets

Item Number: 406-1

CompassOne is a self-contained, completely passive, rapidly deployable navigation solution for fixed site, vehicle, and marine applications. Providing accurate location, orientation and heading data, the CompassOne provides users with consistent and clear data for static and mobile sites. Compatibility with various global navigation satellite systems ensures uninterrupted operation.

With a strong focus on durability, CompassOne is suitable for installation and operation in harsh environments. MIL-SPEC connectors and high grade stainless steel hardware ensure uninterrupted connection and protection from the elements while the aluminium underside provides exceptional impact resistance and rigidity while keeping overall weight low.

CompassOne can operate stand alone or integrate seamlessly with DroneShield’s DroneSentry system. Power over Ethernet reduces cable clutter and VESA (75) compatibility makes CompassOne easy to integrate into new or existing systems. Installation is clear and fast with status LEDs, installation graphics and tool-less fasteners.

Why not record a bearing manually using a phone?

  • Live Updates - A self-contained navigation solution will provide real-time updates, suited for maintaining calibration of fixed sites over long periods of time (autonomously) or for fast paced mobile scenarios.

  • High Levels of Accuracy - A GNSS Compass will provide far greater accuracy when compared to a small, manual device such as a phone. The Compass will also provide a wider range of data, including pitch, roll and heave.

  • Sealed from the Environment - A dedicated GNSS Compass is designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions, whereas a manual process using a device such as a phone is limited by the operating environment for both the user and equipment.

  • Direct Mounting reduces error during reading - A phone is unable to achieve the accuracy required for long-distance sensors, such as the RfOne Mk2. Without mounting to a fixed point on the sensor, the user is unable to gather an accurate reading of the sensor’s true bearing down to fractions of a degree.
