The RfPatrol Direction Finding (DF) Kit provides drone direction finding when used as the primary antenna with an RfPatrol unit. The Direction Finding Kit can be connected directly to an RfPatrol or in parallel with an omni-directional antenna using the RfSwitch to switch between the two inputs.
To determine the direction of a drone, the signal strength must be compared in a number of directions. The direction with the highest signal strength indicates the likely direction of the drone, with more measurements providing greater directional accuracy.
