Masts

DroneShield sensors and devices are compatible with a wide range of third-party masts. Masts can be deployed for mobile or fixed sites, with different options suiting temporary and permanent installations. Mounting solutions scale well with the size of sensor array, providing a small footprint, and removing the need for other support infrastructure.

Detection devices perform best when there is a clear Line of Sight (LOS) between the component and the target. Increasing the height of the installation will decrease the obstacle shadow from nearby structures such as trees and buildings. DroneShield recommends a minimum mast height of 5 metres (16ft) when not installed on a fixed structure, such as a rooftop.
